If we focus on a very elemental level, what actually enters our body is Solids, liquids and Air via our mouth.

Everything that we put in our mouth interacts with our body, whether it is food, water or even air. The general rule when something enters inside the body is either it has to get processed and converted to another energy form in body, or it has to come out of the body. If something does stay in the body without changing its form (eg metals) then it is going to have active, passive or neutral effect in the body.

Hence, the Journey of uncovering the Secrets of an ageless body begins in the mouth. If we simply focus on what enters our body via our mouth, we can create a massive shift towards an ageless and healthy body. Human beings, however, all have the Gift of FREE will. That means we have the choice to choose what we want with our life including our body. This also means that what we put inside our mouth is directly proportional to how much we are using our free will to honor or abuse our own body.

Most health and wellness industry focused on either food/diet plans, or modified drinks or meditation related products forget that the secrets to a fit body do not lie in only one approach. Our body cannot shift by just focusing on one of the elements! An individual shift towards a disease free or ache free ageless body can only happen when we focus on all three elements simultaneously! I go into much more of an elaborate discussion about this when I talk about it in my upcoming LASIVA method.
So what choices are you making to put in your mouth? Are you helping or hurting your body? Can we reverse aging if we chose wisely?

About: Dr. Kalpna Ranadive is an entrepreneur, mom and on a mission to create a generational shift in humanity towards a disease free tomorrow. She is also founder and CEO of Vedic Dental. She, an Ivy League graduate has four dental degrees and has created a dental practice business model, which is designed to preserve and honor our body via self-healing and blended technology. Her single visit practice model attracts many working and busy moms and ageless body health seekers to her practice. With simple easy to use methods, she believes our body already has all the tools necessary to heal into agelessness.

#2. The basic primordial functions of human teeth however, go magnificently deeper and amaze us when we realize as to why they truly exist.
In a life-threatening situation especially trauma to head and neck, every bone structure in human face and skull is “divinely” designed to protect, salvage and leave the brain untouched. It is in moments like these we thank and appreciate the sheer brilliance of “The One” who created human body to survive and thrive no matter how modern we get in our lifestyles.
In sudden jerky movements of head and neck like those experienced in automobile accidents or even high speed roller coasters, our teeth are designed to take on the first blow and act as shock absorbers. The hardness of enamel, clenching of teeth in crisscross pattern and a beautiful group function of all teeth as one unit that take on any blow is dynamically beautiful. Research has shown that people who don’t have teeth actually crack/fracture their jaws much more as compared to those who have all teeth still present.

In our everyday life, when our head rolls back “Slowly” our lower jaw opens up creating a space between teeth and lightly clenching only on back teeth. When our head rolls forward, our mouth opens up near our back teeth but will tend to lightly bite in our front teeth only. Now, fast forward these head movements in a car crash and you can only imagine how quick our muscles, teeth and bones act in unison to take on majority of the blow to the head. Together they form a shock absorbing defense team! After 25 years of studying human skull and jawbones, I am still in a magical awe every time I see cases who survived car crash or head trauma. Observing closely what happened to their teeth and how their brain survived thus keeping them alive is still an amazing moment for me.

Anyone who has lost their teeth in auto-accidents or traumatic situation, rather than regretting the loss of teeth, should be thankful that they are alive because of the blow taken on by their teeth. Many people however are only focused on the loss of teeth rather than focusing on restoring them back to their functions. Today with technology there are many options from single-visit one day crowns or implants to restore the lost teeth. In the next article you will see why it is important to get those teeth restored quickly especially after head and neck injuries.

Until then Live, Love and Smile that you are alive! Sleep peacefully knowing that we all have divinely intelligent structures already in place within our body to take on any next blow

Why you should only use Natural Mouthwashes!

https://drkalpna.weebly.com/blogs/why-you-should-only-use-natural-mouthwashes

https://drkalpna.weebly.com/blogs/why-you-should-only-use-natural-mouthwashes#comments

Uncategorized

Human beings are a minority compared to the number of microbes that exist on planet earth! Fortunately 99% of this microflora is beneficial and infact needed by our body to keep us healthy and thriving.

But wait a minute, didn’t Louis Pasteur, Father of the Germ theory, one who devised the concept of Pasteurization say that germs are the cause of all disease? Well guess what on his death bed, Louis Pasteur recanted that, Antoine Bechamp (another scientist as that time) was right, germs means nothing, soil (Terrain) is everything. Antoine Bechamp had strongly opposed Pasteur blaming germs for everything and had said that bad germs are produced in dead and decaying tissue. Hence if the tissue is made healthy those bad germs disappeared.

Modern science has now proved Bechamp correct and the rising Probiotic industry is a proof that not all germs are bad for the body. Ancient health vedic science as well as Chinese medicine, have never focused on microflora nor disease but rather focused on reversing the imbalance that upsets the body’s normal terrain. Ancient physician infact were big proponents of promoting bacterial growth inside the body rather than curbing it like what we see in today’s antibiotic filled world. For Centuries, fermented foods like yogurt, pizza, keifer, pickles, kimchi, sauerkraut, miso have been incorporated in various cultures through out the world which promoted pro-bacterial growth inside the body.

OK, so now that we have established that 99% germs are good in the body, oral health is no different. Every 12 hours 100 million bacteria accumulate in the mouth. Now 99% of these are good bugs which help clean up your mouth as well as balance the pH and pass into the gut and clean things out there too. There is another plethora of bugs inside the gut which are continuously scavenging, cleaning and even producing vitamins and nutrients for our body.

So this brings us to the question about oral health, mouthwashes, bactericidal toothpastes and more….
In the light of new research if 99% are good bugs, logically speaking, Do you really think you should be killing all the bugs in the mouth? All 100 million of them? Answer is definitely NO!
Harsh mouthwashes (Alcohol, Chemical), toothpastes (containing Laurel Sulphates), even tea tree oil, not only kill good bacteria but infact allow bad bacteria to grow faster. All the good bugs actually prevent fungi from growing in the mouth. When you kill the good bugs, bad bugs pass from the mouth and enter the digestive system.

For the past 15 years plus, I have not prescribed commercial chemical mouthwash even when I was working in medically compromised patient clinic at University of Pennsylvania. The best mouthwash that worked even after a gum or implant surgery, was a simple mix of Salt and warm water. So let me give you a 3 of my most favorite mouthwashes that don’t cost you more than heading over to your kitchen cabinet!

Salt + Baking Soda Mouthwash – Best pH balancing mouthwash – Best Daily use mouthwash

Proportion : Salt:Baking Soda = 1:2 meaning 1 teaspoon salt +2 teaspoon Baking Soda + 250ml Warm to Hot Water. Use it twice daily.
Since most dental disease happens to increase and persist in acidic environment, Baking Soda raises the mouth pH as close to neutral as possible. Salt further complements it by acting as an osmotic agent, thus shrinking any swelling due to inflammation in the mouth.

Turmeric + Hot Water – Best Antibacterial + Anti-inflammatory mouthwash – Best Post Surgery mouthwash.Take 1 Teaspoon Turmeric + 250ml Hot water – Boil and then cool to rinse your mouth with warm mouthwash.
The key here is to make sure you “cook” the turmeric in hot water as only then does its keep essential elements get activated. Do not substitute it for turmeric capsule or turmeric lozenges! Since it is natural ingredient, turmeric stimulates natural immunity which in turn only kills bad bugs and leaves the good bugs intact.
Even if you drink few sips of that mouthwash, you will get a nice stomach cleanse.

Oil mouthwash : Sesame seed oil or coconut oil mouthwash. Best when there are ulcerations or burning sensations in the mouth1 teaspoon swished in the mouth for about a minute. Or rubbed with your fingers on teeth and locations where there is burning.
You can use these same oils for oil pulling or you can use it as a quick mouthwash. Even though it seems counter-intuitive that you use oil when you have a burning mouth, the logic behind that is that oil actually lubricates oral mucosa, preventing it from drying up and thus reducing the burning. Plus coconut and sesame oil both have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties which thrive in ulcerative mouth.
The closest I have come to recommending a chemical mouthwash is that of Hydrogen Peroxide. Why? Because when used correctly it works quite magically. How, well, Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) has an extra Oxygen molecule which actually kills gram negative bacteria which are notorious for diseases in the mouth, especially gum diseases. The extra Oxygen molecule actually bubbles and is also a great remedy for ulcerative mouth.

Hydrogen Peroxide mouthwash – Protocol
Make sure the bottle concentration is 3% (If higher, dilute it with water). Take one cup measure (5ml) and swish in the mouth for 1-5 minutes. Let there be more increase in the frothiness as a result of the long swishing. The froth is what heals, so stay at it.

Caution: Make sure not to drink any. Also make sure not to over do it more than 2-3 weeks or after the acute phase has reduced or gone. Why because, too much of extra oxygen can turn soon turn toxic in the long run. Hence use H2O2 only when there is an acute phase in the gums.
Special Note: Please do not rinse your mouth with lemon water or apple cider vinegar! Both are acidic and cause emamel wear. Lemon water only turns alkaline inside the stomach, until then in the mouth the pH is less than 2!
If you still have questions or would like to learn more about this ancient wisdom from me, send an email to support@drkalpna.com

Are you biting correctly? Any overworked muscle is going to fatigue over time. The more stress on a muscle, the faster it will fatigue. For example: Take a heavy weight and hold it to your chest. Then take that same heavy weight and hold it at arm’s length. The muscles are going to give out a lot faster when the ball is away from the body at arm’s length.
Head position influences the way the teeth come together. If you tilt you head way back and very lightly touch your teeth together, only the back teeth touch. If you bend it way forward, only the front teeth touch. On tilting the head left or right the same side teeth will touch on edges. You can visualize as the head moves forward, the muscles in the front of the neck get tight and tend to pull the jaw down, open and backwards. Routinely we forget and tend to think of the jaw and teeth as their own entity, but now, you can see that the jaw bone is connected to the neck bone and the neck bone is connected

Self healing journey demands heightened self-awareness of our body. Most people say that they much rather be dead than live a life with 24/7 headache.

Luckily, for all of us, there is a very sophisticated and highly intelligent headache prevention system present within each of our bodies. This magnificently synchronized system actually prevents majority of our headaches even before they can begin within our head. These receptors are in continuous communication with each other. The inner ear well known for creating body balance and equilibrium does so by balancing the fluid levels within its internal structure. The TMJ receptors on the other hand control the muscles, which move the chewing muscles. These muscles are responsible to keep the jaw position in alignment such that the skull bones stay in alignment, which in turn keep the joint space for head-neck joint, balanced. In order to maintain the TMJ space, the teeth alignment has to be maintained every single day. Whether we realize it or not, our teeth are adjusting and moving 24/7 at a micro-level to maintain an equalized joint space. This equalized joint space in turn keeps the head, neck and face muscles relaxed.
As long as the muscles around the base of the skull are relaxed and not stressed, the nerves and blood vessels entering at head-neck joint stay balanced and free moving. Anytime there is an imbalance in this communication system, the muscles balancing the jaw, face, head and neck go into tension, thus leading to squishing of pain receptors in head/neck joint area and in turn triggering tension headache.

Fortunately, in most healthy people, this communication system is functioning 24/7 and the jaw, head-neck muscles stay well balanced thus leading to a pain-free and headache free day-to-day living. In the process of oversimplifying, many gurus have been amplifying total body health benefits associated with oil pulling. Almost making Oil Pulling sound like a miracle cure for multiple health issues. For experiencing greater bodily benefits however, you need to understand original ayurvedic oral therapies for a moment.
Authentic Vedic oral therapies are designed to be preventative, symptomatic as well as curative. Using these methods, surgery or medication could be prevented for a number of chronic illnesses. To incorporate authentic Vedic oral therapies individualized to your body type, will need more than just one simple video or article on the internet. Why.......?
Because all original Vedic oral therapies involve an absolute individualized approach based on individual body type. These therapies take into consideration current status of health or status of various stages of disease progression before being customized for each person. This wisdom is what we know today as Marma Science (Vedic) and Meridian Science (Chinese).
Where are these three concentrated locations? In Hands, Feet and Ears! All three locations have specific areas that correlated with various major organs inside the body.
Whether you call it Marma or Meridian or whether you use pressure or needles (Acupressure vs Acupuncture) to stimulate these points, the end result is that stimulating certain specific points on the outside creates a definite change on the inside.
There are over 114 Marma points and over 400 meridian points in human body that can create great influence at cellular level. Yes, creating specific cellular influence does need more training. However when it comes to Hand, Feet and Ear locations, anyone and everyone can create an influence within the body that can bring about years of health and continuous healing. Simply walking barefeet or resting your hands on table with pressure can also influence these organ locations.

Whether knowingly or unknowingly, when we pray, many of us will tend to clasp our hands together. If you are into meditation and spiritual practices, ear lobe pulling activates pineal and pituitary glands.

Inner sides of hand and feet coincides with YOUR spinal alignment.
